| I'll preface this by saying.. that I'm not even remotely close to being a furry. That said I used to DJ next to a person who was. and she had told me that yiffing is the furry equivalant of having sex. It still scares me to holy hell. |

Stolen from a Wiktionary entry:
Yiff was originally invented by LittleFox as part of a range of onomatopoeic words that form the fox-ese language of the Furry role-playing community: yiff, yip, yerf, yaff, yarf, growf, and growlf (in order from most positive connotations to most negative connotations). Yiff meant "yes" or an exuberant "hello!". n Later, yiff was assigned a meaning of a sexual proposition, a meaning that had previously been assigned to yipp (a coarse form of yip). _________________ You have the right to remain silent. Oh oh, so I once practicaly stood in defence of vamps and lycans and I got beated over my head with it. I thought I said I in fact dont mind sharing the sim (obviously, else I wouldnt be here) with vampires and lycans. And yes, I see the difference from belief and scientific reality - I was only stating my ideal case. If vampires are ready to give something at least half scientific of exlanation if they ever end up in the medlab under scalpel, I wouldnt say a word.
As it is, I interacted with vampire characters, and I am not complaining. I met vampire in fight once and I am complaining, but meh, I do agree that I met all kinsd of beasts in combat and I am complaining. Strangely enough most fair combat I had was with a person who was overpowered as a basic fact about that character, RP moves in mysterious ways.
And yes, we are sci-fi sim, with cyberpunk theme to large extent. Look at shadowrun, it is quite cyberpunk setting and heck, you have mythical races and werevolves and vampires with scientific explanation there (or attempt at least). The aproach to the context is what does it, really. And lets not forget that sci-fi is not only fiction, but scientific fiction - if there was no tie to science, it would be postapocalyptic fantasy.
And before any missunderstanding occurs again - I have nothing against werevolves and lycans in general - was playing WoD for some time myself. _________________

Mordag, my post wasn't directed at you (cept the last bit).
When I use 'you', it is largely rhetorical, unless the opening lines state other wise.
I was just making general points, not bashing you or your opinion. _________________ Jay Skall

Well, it was general response and more to Charles who started with "Response to Mordag" ;-)
And you know, I am never too offended by I-net talks, if you get the feeling, dont get confused only because I dont use smilies (usualy). I can talk sharp sometimes, only for the sake of thrill of rheotric duel. Or some other bullshit. _________________

"I challenge you to a du-al!...tomorrow, when I have slept"
And I'm glad it wasn't my post, I usualy assume your okay with stuff but you seemed visably peeved there. _________________ Jay Skall
