I grew up in Coney Island, NY, and for the better part of 12 years it was fairly normal. Dad was a cop and worked really late into the evening and mom stayed home with me and my sister and gave flute and piano lessons at the house. My sister was also my very best friend in the world and was only two years younger than I. I remember that walk on the boardwalk, the 1st of April, fools day, we saw the usual freaks, mystics, bums (homeless). It was the man with the strange eyes and funny candy that lured my sister, I followed, but thats all I recall. I awoke under the boardwalk, my clothes tattered and bleeding. There were lots of police, including my dad, asking me questions at the hospital and lots of stories in the newspapers. There was also many nightmares, arguments between mom and dad, and really nothing happy after that. When things got really bad I would go to the bathroom mirror and cut my forehead open with one of dads razors. I would feel much better after that, but started to cut myself more and more. I hid it as best as I could, but still cut myself open some twenty years later.I don't talk about the cutting much.
Mom and dad died before I finished High School, so i stayed with my Aunt Rose, dads sister, for my final year of high school. She blew any money and the house, I might have inherited. She was a junkie creep and it was a horrible year for me.
I went into the marines for the next 12 years. I was injured badly by a mine and I spent my last year in a hospital on morphine. I managed to use dad's name to get into the Police Academy, but I didn't do so well on the psych exam so they sent me here, to the Midian City Police Dept.. I only lasted 3 years. I was flashing back and hurt a few prisoners.Perhaps my methods of interrogation, some might call torture, were not appropriate.
My dear friend, Ivy Welles, gave me a chance doing private security work at the Twighlight Zone. I was recently promoted to Lead Security, so see me if you need work, everyone needs a chance. Thanks for reading this.
