I do like that one from sirab
Manhole cover baring the cities name with an eerie supernatural glow
a used condom implies sex
bloody knife implies violence
drugs imply drug use
yeah think all the bases covered.
Nice one. Maybe a suggestion for a slight improvement.. not a major change and of course just a suggestion. If the man hole cover were somewhat open..not too much, just to reinforce the idea that's what it is, maybe with some toxic vapour issuing forth from the crack, though it might be over kill. I dunno. it's a great image as is, and I'll probablly use it myself for my picks if I may. |

Think it's just fine for ya to use it, will ask the guy though, just to be on the safe side.
Good idea too, slightly open, tilted, some green fog oozing out... Yuck! Will pass that one to my gfx slave |

Sirab's is VERY Midian :-p
At least, the image I have of the city anyway. If I might make a simple suggestion for an addition Sirab? A bloody hand would make that perfect IMO...(Was thinking a victim, not attacker, just to clargify  ) |

I ll add one idea too then, cause I think it looks good and if those items were placed more... randomly and irregulary, it would look more realisticaly as a random junk around the sewer entrance. This, as it is now, looks as if it was arranged for the photo and takes from its nature.

Also agreed very much, the idea Sirab posted is great!!! but same like others, I feel it still is a very 'boring' arrangement/composition of the items, so the suggestion of Charles with opening the manhole slightly would add to the tension, but as well I think changing the angle of perspective, rearranging the items to something more irregular and then some cropping to create more tension... And voila.
Though I think the pick of a sans-serif font is good, I think there should be still some more research about which one to use cause there are millions of fonts out there and this doesn't 'feel Midian' yet to me.
Anyway from your last post it sounds to me that the original picture is made by somebody else, so question really is if there IS possibility to rearrange these things and you have access to the original file/layers, or if not.
Anyway. The whole idea is excellent, and maybe we could pick up on that idea with all future suggestions?
