This is kind of the flip side of the popular post 'how did you finally get noticed in Midian?'
How did you first notice someone else... I know when I walk around Midian certain people pop out more to me than others.. or other times I will be walking around and see the same people, but some event will occur that will make me notice another one more than I usually do.
For example... Auntie, she seems like an ordinary character, but her clothes are very unique to Midian. They are very vibrant in color and very simply designed, so I found myself starting to think, who is this person?
I was thinking I should say hi to her, but did not until after this event, it was not till one day I down by the docks, I jumped down closer to the street and Auntie was talking to this guy who reminded me as someone from the movie The Warriors, he was obsessed with his bat in very graphic pornagraphic ways, she was telling him off in an intelligent sly way... I was very impressed with her replies to him. I realized there is something deep about Auntie. Hmm but she is still a stranger to me. |

Hrm, I think the most startling for Masha was her first sight of Seddie. Masha was cooking at the sushi counter (Kreyol cooking, none of that raw stuff for her!) when some sort of a standoff erupted. Seddie was all in red, her skin and hair red and she looked beyond feral, poised in combat mode, she looked alien and terrifying.
Masha was convinced she was a djab come to life (a djab being a Kreyol word for demons or devils or unwelcome spirits). Oddly, I don't think Masha's had a reason to be disabused of this notion because the two of them have never actually crossed paths, whereas Keira (my neko alt) met Seddie and thinks she's the neatest thing since cream cheese.
Go fig.
Cheers!

D'aaawwwww... *blushes*
I think the first person I really outwardly noticed and said 'Woah' was probably Tora, her cuteness nearly toppled me out of my chair. I immediately needed a Tora plushy with which to squeeze the stuffing from with luff. _________________ There's music in the sighing of a reed;

The people who caught my eye first, still catch my eye. They stand out, for one reason or another to me, whether its their av or their RP, I'm not sure.
Bones was the first. Love the peek we get into his mind with his monologue RP posts.
Damian. Great RPer, nice guy OOC...but really I just want his hair. Incidentally, one hell of a fight, dude.
Shanni. Just look at her. She makes heads turn just like her character would if...this was somehow...ahem, based in reality.
Auntie, of course. For all the reasons she wants to stand out, she does. I applaud her for pulling off one hell of a neat character.
Luca Vasilopita, my partner in the fight against the creepies in SID. His imagination and attention to detail is tops. And he's hella smart, too!
Markko...well...he drew me in with clever conversation. The rest is history
Catrin. Because she plays a crazy bitch SO well. And I really mean that in the nicest way.
Ghandi. Because he had the guts to be a Pirate IN character on Talk Like a Pirate day. See my profile picks for details.
Jay. Because Al is just twisted enough to want to go head-to-head with this one based alone on the stories.
It's true...some people stick out right away and stay toward the front of the crowd in your mind. I love players who take risks, who respect the OOC relationship with fellow players as much as or more than the IC. Most of all, i love the players who love to laugh. _________________ "The worst kind of evil is the evil that thinks it is good." - Collin Matthews
