Hello forum goons!
Does anyone have some great ideas for events during our Halloween weekend? (Its the 27-28th)
Or if you would like to help out with decoration, building, DJ'ing, event hosting , whatever... Then give me a shout. _________________ - Camilla Moore |

We could get people to turn off all of their scripted objects and have a parade of the dead.
---
There are quite a few people that died in Midian that are important to different characters. Perhaps we could use alts to bring out some of these spirits to play.
Or heck. Bring back those original characters that perma-died even. For those who say this is silly and doesn't fit in Midian... we have bloodsuckers and shifters. One more temporary supernatural group doesn't seem out of the place.
And if nothing else, if the known dead characters seems like a bad idea, we are certainly setting up shop above a lot of restless spirits...
---
For some odd games:
Dead Fish In A Barrel - Get everyone with a MCS together in a giant hollowed out cylinder. Put a certain notorious neko with a giant gun in the area and throw a water balloon at her. Watch something funny happen. Whoever is the last to die, wins.
Sleepy Hollow Marco Polo - Have an enclosed ring and put the participants in. Select one person to put on the Blindfold Hud and just run around, trying to run into others. To make it easier to tell, someone could develop some shields that announce when they get within a meter of the person.
Smashing Pumpkins - Hide pumpkins around Midian and the participants have to smash(take or return them). Whichever team has the most wins something.
I'd consider handing out my Mad Hatter's hat out for a prize and develop up some other appropriate prizes. |

Camilla, I'd love to help. We could have a picnic and I'll make potato salad, a big pumpkin cake and I'll even roast the weiners. Although many dont know it, I can cook and have always been good with weinies. I know many people will donate food. I was at the pool hall and the hounds all stated they would love to give me their weinies, so I know we can count on them.I just love a party |

For some reason, I've been looking at Midian and thinking "God, it would be great to have a zombie infestation for a weekend."
You know, have a sect of people opt to become zombies and ravage the land "Return" style, people holed up in different locations simply because it's safe indifferent to whomever (or whatever respectfully) happens to be there.
Of course, in addition to having some pretty interesting story lines, you'd be faced with how to cure and restore everyone to their previous states when the event is over.
This might be one of those ideas that just sounds good on paper... or maybe just sounds good in my head. _________________ I've got a little something for ya! NA na na NA na na na NA na! |

It would be different in that normally there are a few of us going nuts and getting into fights while the rest tuts and says "that Cat, always causing trouble" would be great to have everyone letting loose for the day. _________________ Catrin - Merc Guild Master/Black Star Commander |

| Sounds like a suggestion to do the blood virus thing again, which, could be done, or something similar. |

How about something similar to the blood virus, except it 'flips' the violent/aggressive tendency in a person... Imagine the most violent avies cowering whilst the streets are ruled by bloodthirsty killers like Tober, Rena, Auntie, Kc, or -- and I don't want to scare you -- Theas. |

I like the "Dawn of the Dead" ideas - maybe with a twist involving an outside agency threatening to nuke Midian unless the "infestation" is readicated locally -thus giving us an excuse for some unusual inter-faction co-operation.
Might also be fun to have some of the "normals" (I use that term loosely in Midian) holed up in the MPD station, fending off ravanging hordes of Zombies ala "Assault on Precint 13".
I also liked Deet's idea of a hyper-aggressive, uber-powered Theas terrorising the streets.... but that might be guildng the lilly just a tad _________________ ~Deb Charron

So far, the ideas seem very like the blood rush, which was cool, but do we want to do it again?...Plus, Zombie outfits cost a fucking bomb.
Maybe a masquerade ball, but with the emphasis on really disturbing outfits...
Maybe have some really nasty NPC kitted out and wandering the city, with a licence to god mode in the name of horror...
I'm thinking a big dog...not a lycan...or is it?...Just something that gives the feel of a werewolf, but doent blow lycan secrecy..kinda like a dire wolf.
Maybe a ghoul, but one thats torn free of their vampire master, and now hunts vampires to drink their vitae, and humans to eat their flesh, maybe a few of these, a hulking brute thats been constructed by the tzimze (you know the ones), like a war ghoul, and a beautiful but utterly deranged crazy chick.
Also maybe a haunted house, as Jade mentioned, but instead of a house, which is hard to explain IC, a ship or plane, maybe even a space ship.
A grounded transport of some kind could crash and then the residents that go to explore encounter horror, and those that done encounter whatever spills forth from this thing. Could combine this with the ideas above, or make it separate...maybe it could be an experimental ship that releases its captive cargo...or a 'reaver' like ship (think Firefly). Or maybe its entirely manned by machines, who aren't all that keen on humans, and instead of walking undead, you get walking robots, a cyberpunk twist on necromancy. Maybe a few HAV terminator AVs (from 6ixth sense - again NPCs) , which have been modded to be even more scary, old and fucked up, who come into the city, covered in skin and blood and rust - to collect 'samples' for testing. Maybe they have limited cloaking ability and could blend into the fancy dress ball...I saw a film once, cant recall the name, about a massive ship run by robots adrift int he ocean who creat really weird and sick machine humans hybrids, very gory...It might start the bio mechs up again, with a new horror twist.
Thats about if for ideas for now - I just kinda splurghed, can add details to either idea, and they can be torn apart, mixed and matched, or simply discarded.
If I get back before then Cam, which is unlikely, I can help you build, but don't count on it. _________________ Jay Skall
