Most kids dream of running away with the circus, the only thing on Saoirse’s mind was getting out. For as long as she could remember having a “normal” life was a dream of hers. This was not to say that she did not love her mother and father or her extended family but night after night her painted and sequined eyes gazed out at the children in the crowd and wished she had a home to back to. A room of her own decorated in pink with bright white flowers painted on the walls. In time of course the girls grew up and the deco in her dream world was littered with candles, scattered books on magic and the occult and a smathering of Goth and industrial bands on her walls.

Born Saoirse McNamara to two life time and long legacy circus performers the young woman the child was destined to be magical. Her mother was the famed "Princess Tatania" legendary beauty of the center circle. A trained trapeze performer and acrobat she dazzled the crowd with not only her flexibility but her stunning looks. Her father the dark and romantically handsome "Baron Roehrscheid". A "Magician" and fire breather that captivated the crowds with his flame work and tricks of walking on air and escaping almost anything. Saoirse worshiped the ground her father walked on and followed in his feet steps as much as her mother would allow. By the age of 12 young Saoirse was promoted to the title of “Princess Lilija” And her mother to “Queen Tatania”. They were the stars of the small traveling circus and life seemed to fall into a comfortable norm.
She would never forget the first night her magic made itself known. The little princess was performing a very dangerous trick, tight rope walking while swirling a flaming hulla hoop around her hips when she lost her footing. With a scream the young girl rocketed towards the straw covered hard packed floor of the circus sure she was going to break every bone in her body. The crowd was on its feet gasping and pointing when the world around her came to life. Suddenly she could “feel” the “spark” of magic touch her from head to toe. The only thing going through her mind was “I” wish I could fly, and as if sprouting wings the delicate figure swooped from certain death to circle the tent a few times before landing balanced once more on the balls of her feet on the same rope she had fallen from. In a bit of shock she did her best to make it across to the platform and the thunderous round of applause from the crowd below.

After that night her training took on a whole different role. Her days were filled with school lessons of the arcane as well as academic at her father’s side. She slipped into her role with very little bumps and bruises and her performance took on the ‘Fire Bird’ flight trick drawing crowds like mad. Once again all was well, or so they thought.

The circus owner was a good man at heart but a bad gambler and one evening wagered far too much at the tables including the circus itself. Under contract the performers were horrified to find they had been “sold” to a very dastardly bastard known only as Anastagio. He had his own circus but unlike their traditional show his was a host of freaks, monsters and con-men. Every performer was exploited including Saoirse and her family. Pushed beyond their limits her mother’s health started to fail making Walker push even harder and making threats of leaving her behind. The older males of the new addition did not hide their interest in Saoirse and the only thing that kept them at bay was their fear of her father. One man had gotten drunk after a show and snuck his way after Saoirse as she went to change. He had grabbed her and tried to force himself on her when her father heard her screaming and came to her aid. No one knew what happened in those woods but the man’s body was never found and both father and daughter emerged covered in blood and bit’s of what could only be deemed ‘leftovers’. As punishment her father found himself beaten badly and Saoirse was "punished" by being forced to travel in a wooden crate and separated from her family. Things would not have been so bad if at night the others did not find a way to sneak in to taunt and frighten the poor girl with threats and disgusting details of what they would do when they got their hands on her. too this day Saoirse is scared to death of tight dark places and what might lurk there, it is why she flatly refuses to sleep in a casket or narrow dark tunnels under ground.

Saoirse knew that if someone did not do something they would be trapped with the monster and his band of freaks until the dropped. One evening while performing in London Saoirse made the hardest decision she had ever had to make. After informing her parents she was leaving and kissing her mother good bye she made a run for it. With her father’s help she had swiped the weekend’s take and slipped away.
She worked her way across the water on a fishing boat masquerading as a boy and made her way to the states. With only her clothing and a few tools of the trade she hitched, begged and coned her way across the US until her luck ran out in.

Her abilities never caught the attention of other Mages and workers of reality in the States, she made sure of that. What the young girl did not know was that her abilities were something of great interest to Clan Tremere. Snatched off the streets the young woman spent nearly 10 years being abused and her magical spheres used for the clan’s desires. When her training as a ghoul was complete Saoirse was embraced. Even through the powers of the blood bond there was a seething hatred that lingered due to the violent and nearly crippling shock of her magical avatar shattering as the last of her mortal life slipped away and the tainted icor of kindred blood touched her tongue. The result was catastrophic leveling the entire chantry and leaving all but her dead. Now hunted by her own Clan Saoirse has found what she is hoping is a safe haven. All she wishes now is to be left alone and try to pick up what simple pieces of her shattered life as she can.
