i've made reference to using a chat-and-IM-only client while in the office, called AjaxLife. unfortunately, AjaxLife is VERY buggy, loses connection all the time. i know there are others on here who use this type of client as well, and i've found one other, the name of which I can't remember (just that it was blue), but it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO slow that i nearly scratched my eyeballs out waiting for it...
Does anyone know of a GOOD chat/IM client for SL that stays connected to the grid/network?
I can continue to use Ajax if need be, but it's starting to suck pretty bad...

This has always been a topic of mine, because i like to connect to SL while at work, I have used as many clients as I can find, AJAX Life and SLeek being among them.
Another i have discovered is Movable Life. http://www.movablelife.net/login.aspx
It runs from your web browser also, kinda nifty, but the IM windows can be funky, they open a new one for every new person you IM or IM's you and you have to enable popups for the page.
And something I also found for those of us who must have SL, this coming soon to a cellular near you, http://www.vollee.com/secondlife
take a look, and i really have tried them all...they all have their problems, SLeek being basicaly unusabel right now, and AJAX and Movable with their quirks, so it call comes down to what you are willing to put up with.

Thanks, Markko... Movable Life is the blue one that was SO slow on my work PC. I'll check out SLeek and see what happens...

I didn't realize you had to download a .zip file for SLeek, so that's a bust... tried Movable again, and it's still just as slow, and i never got past the login screen when i clicked the button...it froze me up, and it took 5 mins and several Task Manager tries to close the window....
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I need a working web-based client....if possible...any other suggestions, since Ajax is down?
