Lyonee Locke
Appearance:
She is tall and thin, but appears to come from good stock. She has good skin and clearly lived well in her childhood. She has red hair, and green eyes. She always appears to be nervous, or mouse like in her actions and reactions. She does a poor job of it most of the time, but she tends to try to move from place to place without being noticed. She is easily noticed though with her fiery hair and natural good looks. ;)
Traits:
As noted she appears to be nervous most all of the time, she seems to find comfort in the sound of the ocean. No one knows why really, it could be as simple as the fact that these are the sounds we play to soothe children to sleep at night. Lyonee appears to be very much confused almost all of the time, and slightly "off". She freely admits to having a bad memory, and can not offer up too much of her past. Some have thought it was an act, or a defense mechanism but the reality is that her memory for whatever reason is faulty. She indeed is touched to some degree, though modern pharmaceuticals would certainly be able to help her to at least some degree. Anyone with knowledge of medicine and psychology would argue that, though it is not that that she could be wholly cured through medicine.
Quirks:
She moves around a bit but is drawn to several spots quite frequently, she reacts mainly out of self preservation instincts in that she avoids people unless in public areas usually unless her guard is down from exhaustion or due to her condition. She tends to step inside public places seeking out a dark corner for 15 to 30 minute cat naps in order to sustain herself. You can hear her say that "some days are better than others" quite often, and this is very true. Some days she is very much "with it" other days you might have to remind her of a conversation you had with her. She is kind and trusting to a fault, and when she is pressed she seems more likely to give in than not depending on the situation.
Limits:
I created her to be the victim, to be the one to be saved or to be chased. It is appealing to be the hero or the warrior sometimes it is harder to find satisfaction in playing the other side of the coin. To be the one afraid, or the one who submits. As far as out of character limits I am open to most anything, but I really am not into acts of m mutilation n or anything of that nature. The thing with this is it is hard to undo these things and therefore it is hard to give those choices over to others in role-play. Being roughed up, slapped around, beaten, threatened, abused, and taken forcibly is one thing. Being destroyed in a way that can never heal is something else all together and has no appeal to me. I of course respect everyone's right to role-play as they like and I do not judge anyone who holds opposite views. I look forward to role-playing with everyone in a way that ensures everyone enjoys the encounter!
Personal:
I have been role-playing for a very long time, from pen and paper RPGs, to LARP, and MMOs. I am however new to SL and as such am open to suggestions and tips. In fact I welcome and encourage them.
I have for the most part enjoyed my brief time in Midian, and I hope those who I have interacted with have had positive experiences as well.
I have left her background open to allow for some story growth and development, what fun is a story without some mystery and drama right? Maybe you can help me fill in the blank in Midian. |
