Salut.
One of the constants I’ve found is that people are waiting for something or another. Now what varies is how much people would enjoy to keep on waiting and will keep on waiting even when the opportunity arises when they could possibly no longer wait. So when I say that I am a creature of habit, I mean that I am habitually “impulsive”, for lack of better word.
I was made aware of such an opportunity where I would no longer need to wait any longer. Some of you that I have confided in could take a guess at what that thing was. But in any case, I did take the opportunity to jump at it. So now we finally get to the heart of the subject because I am potentially long-winded and want to make sure that people didn’t think I just disappeared off of the face of the earth (which happens to be a small Catholic church in Brazil.) Like what happened during my November situation, I’d be surprised if I was able to log into SL. If I had the ability to connect to the Internet, my time would be better spent collecting all my emails and whatnot instead. If I have the time and the connection necessary, I’ll pop up on the forums and occasionally on YM.
But a couple of important things first. I’ll still have time when I’m driving about to listen to sets, so if any of the new DJs want to record their sets, I’ll download them when I can and I’ll send some feedback on ways they can continue to improve. And I'm glad to see that Laiann's going to end up taking the spots that I'm normally on anyways. She seems to have a lot of the same musical philosophy that I do.
The second important thing is meant for everybody’s ears. Please don’t just go into the city and RP. I know that’s what we’re all there for, so that request may be odd. But please hear me out. I’d like to request that you spend some time welcoming visitors to Midian. I cannot overestimate the importance of this. If you see someone wandering about the city that you don’t know, IM them, welcome them, and say that you can attempt to answer any questions that they might have. And from there you could even try to RP with them so that they get some idea of what the roleplay is like in the sim. There aren’t any terribly large storylines going on right now that require your constant attention. And if nothing else, helping a visitor out can help kill some time while you’re just standing around waiting to RP with someone.
So what does this mean for my characters? Last time, I was gone for only a month and Ghandi came back looking rather neko.. Granted, I had enough time before November to roleplay being kidnapped and everything. This time, I really have no idea the reason for disappearing and what’s going to happen for the return.
I know that there were a couple of people that were counting on me to be a part of a couple of several stories and if you still feel like working on those when I get back, that works too. Granted, they might go off a little differently depending on what I come up with for this disappearance.
So anyways, always peace and love,

We will miss you Ghandi and when you return, if you decide you want a perm slot in the DJ schedule, you have only to ask. We will work it all out, I did not realize that was your time to DJ since you never wanted on the schedule, always wanted to wing it. As we get more DJ's, the open spaces are going to keep disappearing, that's why I finally broke down and put myself on the schedule too.
Be safe and I look forward to seeing how you explain Ghandi being gone IC this time. ;p (Maybe work it with Tres or Roxy to kidnap you or something?) _________________ (Pera Sutekh, twin sis of Chigaru) BIO!>Pera

Ghandi, there is nothing wrong in following your calling and going where life leads you. I commend you for doing it.
Yes, it would be a far better Midian if everyone would take the time to speak or reach out to newcomers. Will it happen? We both know the answer to that, but perhaps if your words inspire just one person to do it, then you will not have spoken in vain.
Best wishes in this new adventure you are partaking and please keep me informed as to how things are going _________________ "YES, I KNOW your life is full of "DRAMA", but sometimes you just have to put on your big girl panties and deal with things" |

Heh. Well whatever's clever. I did have some different character ideas and got a funny smile whenever I realized that there was no real reason why I couldn't pull off all of them at the same time and still be completely IC with everything that's been done before with the character.
But it does brighten my day to see random email messages from sent IMs. So if people want to contribute some possible ideas or just random messages, I will not at all be resistant to them.
So peace and love from here. We'll see where I get to randomly post from next.
- Pera: I didn't want to actually sign up for those time slots because I knew I wasn't actually going to be able to cover them every week and I would've prefered someone else randomly doing them if I couldn't be there. Besides, having it open meant that I could put potential DJs through a trial run then because that is when I'm normally on. _________________ Jesus saves; everyone else takes full damage.

I never realized you were testing people out, just send them to me or Chi if they are interested in DJing, if they do not know how, we can always teach them as I did you when you started, so no worries. The more regular scheduled DJ's we have the better, goal being that we are on 24/7 one day. So if you want some of those spots, just let me know, or I'll be glad to give mine up anytime you might want a random pop on, I'm sure Laiann would do the same. Also, we should not be testing them out on the main grid during heavy traffic hours anyway, we can just use the backup for that where only we are listening and let the main sim hear music, rather than test outs where we are troubleshooting. _________________ (Pera Sutekh, twin sis of Chigaru) BIO!>Pera

So it has been a month since I made the actual news that I was heading out for a bit. Life has been interesting and I've tried to call some of you while traveling around and ended up getting the wrong numbers after all. Pain in the ass when calling to another country and getting charged for that. Oh well.
Anyhoo, I've been running into some connections secure enough for my tastes often enough that I might end up bouncing in to at least clear out all of my bloody group notices. And I've been running the returning story idea over and over in my head every which way and it's finally coming up sound. But with all story ideas, I'll have to pitch it to a good number of the leaders and hope that they are enthusiastic about it enough to refine it and see it put to use. If nothing else, I can just sit and work on it some more until after I had made my return. Hopefully, I'll get to actually let the pieces fall into place that had been setting up for awhile now.
So don't be all surprised or whatever when you see me pop into SL possibly a couple of times this week. _________________ Jesus saves; everyone else takes full damage.

Would be a pleasure seeing you back dear. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you in any fashion. _________________ "YES, I KNOW your life is full of "DRAMA", but sometimes you just have to put on your big girl panties and deal with things" |
