Can't we all just not get along?
With the current problems between the CWs and the Dolls, it seems to me that we have an interesting possibility for some real turf wars in Midian City. Specifically, we've never really stopped to consider the idea of "territory" in the more abstract sense - the concept of what a group regards as their space. For instance, the Dolls visibly dispute with the Catwalkers over control of the rooftop, but why stop there? If the Yakuza are into drug trafficking (and that is an if), it would be interesting to see them getting into fights with KAOS about synthetic catnip distribution at raves. The MPD might get antsy whenever the UAC invades their turf, and a renewed dispute about the rooftops in Apoc would be interesting as well.
There are lots of ways to develop this: A fight by the Church or the MPD (backed by the MCMC) to push the Dolls out - either because it's immoral or because it spreads STDs; a war between KAOS and the church (again on grounds of morality); an attempt by the mercs to dislodge the CWs to give them new ways to distribute their imported goods... there's a lot of unexplored territory here that I think we should delve into. Either way, that's my two cents. |

There is currently one planned between the Yaks and KAOS, as well as things developing with Ashagi, but KAOS wants to run Midian, so anyone is fair game to them. Even Zoe better be putting synthnip in them shakes she makes or we are gonna come down on her. ;p
The church did come by once, or someone pretending to be them, complaining about the 'devil music.' LOL
But I think this is a good idea, more conflict = more RP = more fun, as long as everyone keeps it all IC.
It personally pisses Pera off that Hookum keeps getting credit for all of the KAOS mischief when we leave pirate hints, they see hooks, they think Hookum, grrr! That could be a sort of territory too, as well as feeding grounds for vamps.

Conflict is good.. turf wars are a thing that can and likely will come and go. They take place almost every day. Just not always in 'brash' open manners that everyone notices. The CW have an open hatred for any UAC roaming the city, and especially the rooftops. In fact I think a certain UAC helicopter flyby might've had something to do with that...

In case some folks haven't noticed, the Horde simply rolled in and stuck a flag on the Parking Garage and said "MINE!"
Of course, they've also snatched a few people off the street, stuck a brand on them in similar fashion as the above flag, and said "MINE TOO!" |

I go where I please and am unable care what you sacks of blood think about territory and pissing grounds....
...however it has lead to me getting thoroughly pulverized on more then one occassion. I just am too think headed to learn.

Well, Jaz goes where he's needed for the most part, although his actions are limited by the need to tend to MPD PR. (i.e. not funking things up with other factions, and kissing up when needed) But yeah, he mosly respects 'turf'..and as a fox, he does tend to declare certain areas 'his', which mostly means MPD territory, and will harass people who don't respect it *gives a dirty look to the Legion*
