Suppose I'll take the role of Teacher.... not enough of those here obviously.

Oooo...can I be the town girl scout leader? I'd look damn cute in the uniform and oh...the things I could teach my girls! _________________ http://rena-mayne.livejournal.com/

I've also decided to move all the Catwalkers in with Auntie in the new sim, so she can play the role of the "Crazy old cat lady" and we can be her kitties.
Hold your breath when you visit, ok? |
WELL, first off, this is a role I already play (and one I might add, I enjoy)
I only see one problem with what Camilla has proposed and that is before long we will have people complaining that "Pleasentville" has turned to "dark" and that is NOT what Camilla intended the sim to be.
Grocery Store? Used to be a nice place to shop. Now we have kids in there shoplifting and prices are going through the roof.
Hardware Store? Used to be a nice place to buy paint to keep our city lovely. Now all I see is people buying pipe to make bombs, shovels to dig graves and you cant get a vacuum there, as no one wants to clean anymore.
Church? PLEASE, we see illegal gambling that started as just bingo, our Ministers banging their Secretaries and more gossiping goes on there during meetings then we see on this forum in a month.
AH YES, our lovely fountain, that no longer works because gangs stole the copper tubing that fed the water to it, BUT, don't be too alarmed, you can still look down most any alley and see a drunk passed out on his back taking a pee, so we still have waterspouts in town.
Schools? had to shut down. All the female teachers were posting nude pics of themselves on the Internet and were eloping with our entire male sports teams.
Sheriffs Department? Never seen them, lending truth to the adage, "wheres a cop when you need one?". I saw a lady getting her purse stole and not a officer to be seen, but send out a bulletin someone stole a donut from the bakery and we have policemenn from 28 sims here in 30 seconds.
Volunteer Fire dept. A fine group and whenever we have they fire, its amazing they volunteer to go there and watch whats on fire burn to the ground.
The "Retirement Center". Now of course, this is a place dear to my heart, but even it has it's problems. Can never get good orderlies who want to work. YES, I think there is elder abuse going on, but sometimes we need to slap them old people around to show them who the boss is.
SO, all you who think everything in "Pleasentville" is so sweet are sadly mistaken. There is a strong undercurrent of meanness creeping in and frankly it is destroying our lovely little city. I just wish you all would read what Camilla has written when this city was proposed and you will see that it is turning into something she had not proposed.(JUST MY OPINION)
YES, she was smart by NOT SAYING that "Pleasentville" was closed to people with different thoughts and ideas. She realized that over time when new people with new ideas and thoughts came into town that things would change and that would add excitement and intrigue to our city. YES, she knew that indeed as "Pleasentville" evolved we would see many changes take place and new RP oppertunities would come about.
Over time it will be up to the citizens to figure out what they want and I am confident that those who wish "Pleasentville" to have ALL MANNER of RP will be satisfied and it will happen. SADLY, for those who wish it was to stay EXACTLY as Camilla proposed will be disappointed, as we are very happy with the status quo and wish to stiffle anyone who dares to go against all the goodness.
LUCKILY, I can decide that since we cant have this "perfect" sim, there is always Midian I can play in because at least there everyone is welcome. |
