Some years ago Octavius was leading a simple life in America as a member of the Navy. His career wasn't all that special, he was just an Intelligence Analyst who had recently made E-5. He was leading a good life, owned a nice motorcycle, and had recently become engaged to a beautiful redhead named Anne. That was all about to change forever...
Octavius never saw the bomb. Why should he have? He was simply riding his motorcycle on a back road with his fiance pressed firmly to his back and suddenly there was a loud bang and flames everywhere... then blackness. When he awoke he had already been transferred to a cyberbrain that was not yet implanted in a biomechanical body, the scientists needed his permission for that. After hearing that it was a terrorist that had done this to him and killed his fiance Octavius didn't really have a choice, he immediately volunteered for the Special Ops Forces.
They gave him a state of the art body and a mission. For years, Octavius fought, assaulting bases and pulling off Black Ops assassinations. This continued until Octavius made a critical mistake... he fell in love with a woman, his partner Jessica. It was inevitable, on a mission Jessica and Octavius found themselves outnumbered and Jessica became gravely injured.
Finally, sick of seeing the women he loved get hurt, Octavius left the military and travelled to seek a new path for himself. He came at last to Midian, not knowing what to expect but hoping for a better future. |
