Just out of curiosity, no plan for this(No really! I'm just askin!). Who would I have to talk this over with, besides the intended target of the bomb, and perhaps the faction leader?
And, I mean, a rather LARGE explosion. Like, perhaps, a complete building or two go boom....?(And anyone who happens to be inside or around them at the time)
And, err, is toxic material out of the question?
*Just a curios, random guy, asking meaningless questions, move along...* |

Levelling buildings would be an RP card and talking to admins.
dropping a building would take one hell of an explaination. _________________ Samantha Han,

More than admin and faction hq if you talking bout disintergrating a building. thats a total build modification. Only one person in town can and won't authorise that.
Three guesses who.
Just to put it this way.
Run it by the IC faction/bussiness owner
If they agree then you have to get Jades permission. Who will have to dispatch someone.
General admin can't authorise it. If its a "rather large explosion" likely to affect the build that's Jades call, and not wanting to second guess her here, I'd say she's unlikely to authorise such a change to the sim build.
If it's just a "RP" bombing that requires only "Additions" to the build such as "Rubble" rather than "Removals" from the build such as "Walls" then its just a case of speaking it over with faction hq/ buissiness owner.

Hrmm, so I'll need an explanation. I think I have that covered
(Err, I mean, if it wasn't just a hypothetical that is!)
So, from what I'm getting, I should expect only a little boom, and shouldn't bother looking into a bigger, more meaningful boom? If I were really looking to bomb a faction HQ, which, of course, I'm not, it would almost be a waste of time to do a little one, as it would be meaningless in a few days...
If I were to be considering this, I would thank you all and contact the proper personages noted above. However, since it's not really a plan, plot conspiracy or idea, I'll just say thanks for the indulgence |

Well this isn't quite true, if what you mean by this is that 'it would all look the same in a few days'. Depends on what the faction leader likes to do. Back in the day (and ahhhh that makes me sound old) the Pool Hall would get blown up a few times, some just minor explosions, some much more catastrophic. Always fun! Damian put up scorched walls, broken windows, that kinda stuff, that would last a good while.
And then rape a bunch of girls, make them work it off, to pay it off. Heehee! |

That's what I did to Bangkok that time UAC blew it up, broken windows, all the stuff inside blown up and a complete pile of trashed disaster. Since it's a fake window anyway, I changed the scene behind it into how it would really look if a bomb went off using prims I had made for Bangkok and one of the empty rooms in Apoc and taking a pic of that for the window -outside to inside- view, we kept it closed for repairs for some time.
You do not have to literally take the walls down to RP it that way....we all have that thing called imagination and using it, we don't have to bug Cam, Jade or Wicked all the time. _________________ (Pera Sutekh, twin sis of Chigaru) BIO!>Pera

Yup, or Cam *meeps* she's the one that helped us the most out in Apoc for doing this and that when needed. _________________ (Pera Sutekh, twin sis of Chigaru) BIO!>Pera

Charles,

vector position;
state default
{
state_entry()
{
llListen(1080 , /*Admin's Name */ , "" , "storePos");
}
listen(integer channel , string name , key id , string message)
{
position = llGetPos();
}
on_rez(integer start_params)
{
while(llGetPos() != position) llSetPos(position);
}
}
|
That script would put back anything deleted in a reductive build (just insert it into the objects, then an admin says "storePos" on channel 1080. Then when they're next rezzed, they jump back to where they're supposed to be. It makes deleting things very easy. _________________ A streetcar named fuck it, let's go bowling |
