Vincent Low is a weapons expert, mercenary, former South African National Defence Force (SANDF) soldier, and a South African citizen who was recently forced to flee South Africa due to the change in political climate which forced the mercenary company he worked for to disband after being accused of war crimes and is still currently being sought after by the UN.
Background: Birth to Present Day
Vincent grew up in New Johannesburg and spent his childhood rebelling against his wealthy parents by running with the local street gangs only to end up in front of a jury facing a 5 year stretch at Black Beach prison or a minimum of three years service in the army, there was no contest. The army soon mellowed him and even after the years of womanising and fucking about he found love and married. Vincent not long found it a struggle to support a money sink of a wife and got in contact with one of his former army buddies who recently left the army to join a mercenary organisation. Tempted by the money, fame and the life style it could give him he joined without too much hesitation.
It didn't take long for the marriage to soon fall apart with Vince being away from home more than when was in the SANDF. Despite his crumbling home life Vincent career as a mercenary was flourishing he was assigned operations from training local government/rebel troop’s weapon and engagement tactics to operating as part of a private security force loaned out to mining companies.
He soon became bored of the prospect of a resentful wife waiting for him at home on his off duty weeks and started to have affairs with the local women around base just to distract him.
Vincent signed the divorce papers just before being sent to the Ivory Coast to reinforce the security on one of the mining installations out there. However due to recent political policy changes involving companies that use unregulated mercenary companies to operate their security, this had now become illegal. Unfortunately the mercenary company was sold out by the mining company to the government knowing that there would be a serve impact on their mining concessions if they found out they were operating illegally, this also meant that they could boycott paying the mercenaries the seven million they were owed for services rendered.

Vincent’s company has now been disbanded; his colleagues have either been killed or arrested. Knowing he can’t go back home or even stay as a resident he knows his days our numbered in South Africa. In his desperation he contacted various people who he had dealings with in the past. By luck it happened that a cold and ruthless woman he once dealt with on an arms shipment transfer was setting up a mercenary force inside Midian City but were seriously under resourced in terms of their numbers. Kazifina offered him a job right away if he could get there.
Present Day –
Three weeks later he arrives with a smile, a fistful of diamonds and a pocket full of ammo. This city would be his home from now on.
Safe from the government and a money seeking ex-wife……. _________________ "The secret to success, whether it's women or money, is knowing when to quit. I oughta know: I'm divorced and broke" |
